If an online fax service provider is the service that makes sense for your growing business, the Internet has a site,http://www.faxcompare.com, that makes comparisons about each service and what each service offers, for you, helping you to make a more informed decision.
The site has taken the most popular online fax services and using a table and variables such as monthly fees, annual payments, hidden fees, the number of users in the plan, etc. to help you, the consumer and therefore make a better informed decision by having all the facts presented in one place.
The first online fax vendor in the table, MyFax offers monthly fees at $10 and an annual payment of $8.33 per month. Ring Central has a monthly fee of $9.89 and an annual payment of $6.59 per month. Nextiva, another online fax competitor, has a monthly fee of $8.95 and an annual payment fee $4.95 per month. The fourth competitor, MetroFax has a monthly fee of $12.95 per month and an annual fee of $11.95 per month.
Just taking a look at the first two variables a potential customer can already make an assumption that by going with Nextiva, the least of expensive of the four, would be saving money. But when checking the other variables such as fax storage, the number of incoming and outgoing pages and the price to send a fax by email, the cheapest may not always be the wisest choice.
So checking out a couple more variables such as a free trial, all of the companies offer a 30 free trial except MetroFax, but it does offer its customer the second month for free. If fax storage is an important consideration, be sure to take a look at each of the vendors storage limitations—this could be the deciding factor since they widely vary from one company to the next. MyFax offers one year of storage, RingCentral has unlimited storage, Nextiva offers six months of storage, and Metrofax offers 90 days of fax storage.
But if the number of email addresses that can send and receive faxes to and from the business is a consideration—these numbers too vary from service provider to service provider. For instance, MyFax allows five email addresses to send and receive faxes for the monthly rate. RingCentral allows an unlimited number of email addresses that can send faxes but only 30 addresses can be received. With Nextiva—only one email address can send out faxes and up to five different email addresses can be received. And with Metrofax only one user, or one email address can send and receive faxes.
The above variables will determine which service is the right one for you. If you are an individual who only faxes to one place and receives faxes from one place then Metrofax may be the vendor for you, but if you receive a lot of faxes and have a broad customer base with whom you do business choosing one of the others that will accommodate more incoming and outgoing faxes would obviously be the way to go. Again, it is personal preference and the needs of your business that will determine your online fax provider.
